Ave 3 y Calle 7 This is one of the most visited parks in the city. Although a small park, it is charming and shady. Musicians and other bohemians find it ideal for free inspiration and frequently share their art for visitors delight.

On Sunday local artisans set up a small booths and sell handicrafts.

Morazan Park

Esquina de la Ave 3 y Calle 7 The park is mostly visited on weekends by families and young couples that find it the perfect place to spend the afternoons. A neo-classical kiosk provides a focal point for the recently enlarged park.

National Park

Considered the best of San Jose's parks, the National Park features a monument to the united Central American effort to expel William Walker from their land. From the park you can see houses from the Spanish colonial period and you can visit the National Library, located next door.

Located at the heart of downtown San Jos�, this busy plaza (square), a gathering place for people of all ages, artists and sellers, is one of the main reference points of the city. The plaza de la Cultura's surroundings offer visitors a chance to buy souvenirs, walk to art galleries and libraries or eat at one of the many modest by nice restaurants.

Plaza de la Democracia

Commissioned by former President Oscar Arias S�nchez, Peace Nobel Prize winner, the Plaza was built to commemorate the centennial of Costa Rica's democratic government.
