Mango
Thanks to its soft and juicy pulp, its caramel like flavor, vivid colors and intense floral aroma; the mango is a fruit that seduces our senses. To be part of juices, ice create, jams or desserts is common for any fruit but mangos also show with great style in salted dishes; displaying its sweet and sour talents along with diverse salads, salsas and meats.
However, to fall in love with its flavor you won't even need an accompaniment. We only need a soft bit on its juicy pulp for our sense of smell to be invaded by flowers of thousands of colors, and our taste to delight.
A kind fruit
It can be eaten green or ripe, raw or cooked. It is a low calorie fruit that contribute the organism with high doses of antioxidants, iron, calcium, phosphorus and vitamins A, B5 and C. It helps with the metabolism of carbohydrates and is thought that helps with diverse medicinal properties.
It was originated in the Asian tropic and was introduced in America through Brazil by Portuguese citizens in century 18th. Since it found better weather conditions here than in India, it evolved into new varieties of bigger size and more intense flavors than the ones reached in its country of origin; and extended throughout the tropical areas of the continent.
