A great extensin of the Costa Rica territory is covered by forests, some of which have been protected forever and ever by laws pursued by people who are completely committed to the preservation of the environment and incrementally supported by government and prvate efforts advocated to this cause. The countrys great challenge will be to achieve the complete preservation of at least these forests, which currently cover 35% of the national territory.
